PSI's payment assistance card makes the payment of approved PSI assistance simple and cost efficient for prescription drug treatment or major medical services. Approved patients simply present their primary insurance card along with their PSI payment assistance card before accessing services covered by their approved PSI assistance.
For example, when picking up a prescription or accessing medical care, a patient provides the pharmacist or provider with their primary pharmacy benefits/medical insurance card and their PSI payment assistance card (shown above). If picking up a prescription, your PSI payment assistance card works like a secondary pharmacy payer and will immediately approve the payment of the remaining eligible copayment(s). When receiving medical care, the medical provider uses the PSI payment assistance card and will invoice PSI for covered copayments/coinsurance costs after your claim has processed through your primary insurance. In the near future providers will bill PSI electronically.
