My PSI: Amee’s Story Story
“I am 67 and I was diagnosed with Gaucher disease at age 16. At that time, there was no medicine for it. After a lot of struggle, I finally was able to get the care and life-saving drugs I needed.
Thanks to several organizations, including PSI, I am able to continue receiving my life-saving medication and special care from a wonderful doctor. Thank you, PSI, from the bottom of my heart! My family and I are forever grateful!”
“Without the help from PSI, I am not sure how I would pay for my medical insurance and all of the copays due to so many doctor visits.
Fabry disease is a horrible disease but not having to worry about the huge costs of treatments and medicine is great for getting rid of the stress of having an incurable disease. Thank you so much, PSI, for all you do!”
My PSI: Anne’s Story
“When my husband was forced to get on Medicare and was no longer able to carry me on his employer’s insurance, my copay went from $27 to over $3,000 monthly. There is no way we could afford this.
My CML specialist got me the information to apply with PSI, whom I’d never heard of. PSI personnel could not have been more empathetic and helpful. Everyone I spoke with was so very willing to help. PSI has generously paid my copay for almost 3 years now. They really put my family’s worries at ease because there is no way we could pay this enormous copay.
PSI has truly been a lifesaver for me. Without them, I could not afford my medication each month. I thank PSI from the bottom of my heart and so does my family.”
“I was diagnosed with GIST in February of 2010. Once I was no longer on private insurance coverage, I could no longer afford the medication I have to take for as long as it continues to work for me. My medication costs approximately $10,000 per month and I have to take it daily.
Without PSI assistance for this medication, I would not be alive today. It is as simple as that! Thank you from the bottom of my heart for all you do!”
My PSI: Lisa Wright’s Story
“I’m sincerely appreciative for all your support and guidance in achieving a successful outcome with my Hemophilia disability case and representation…
To know you is to know people who are kind, considerate, and thoughtful. To know you is to be grateful for the special things you do. For everything you’ve done for being the special people that you are.
Thank you so very much. Keep up the hard work. I couldn’t have done it without you all. Thank you all and may God bless you always.”
“I am so thankful that PSI-ACCESS has been a resource to help with my SSA disability. I had been denied SSA disability after applying on my own, and they helped me with the appeal process.
My chronic illness has not allowed me to work for a few years, and I had little financial support. Terry traveled across the country to represent me and helped win my case. This organization worked with me multiple times to keep my disability payments.
PSI-ACCESS is a resource that is so important to patients who are too sick or don’t have the financial means to navigate the system. Thank you, PSI-ACCESS, I don’t know what I would’ve done without your help!”
